If something’s come up with your rental and you’re not sure where you stand, give us a call.

What this service is for

Renting issues often come up suddenly – we’re here to help you make sense of them.

This service exists to give Tasmanian renters a calm place to talk through what’s happened and understand what usually applies, before deciding what to do next. Many rental problems feel urgent or confusing at first, especially when notices, deadlines or unexpected messages are involved.

01

Rent Increases

Many renters aren’t sure how often rent can be increased, how much notice is required, or what options exist if an increase feels unreasonable.

03

Moving Out

Breaking a lease, giving notice, bond deductions or disputes after moving out are common sources of stress. Many people are unsure what they’re responsible for, or what the landlord or agent should do.

02

Privacy

Questions frequently arise about when a landlord or agent can enter the property, how much notice is required, and what counts as reasonable access.

04

Repairs

From urgent repairs to ongoing maintenance delays, renters often want to understand what’s considered reasonable, what should be in writing, and what typically happens if issues aren’t addressed.
